Add providing context-sensitive help to the 4 training programs: holding live training sessions, building training sites, broadcasting daily training emails, and holding Q&A sessions. Install and configure a contextual help system that delivers on-click help to end users. The plug-and-play addon application gives end users the ability to use SharePoint intuitively, without knowing how to.
Let's suppose that you want certain documents to be shared only with trusted, authenticated external users, in a way that protects sensitive data. After you upload the documents in a dedicated document library, what if you could display a warning dialogue box every time someone visits that library? What if you could automatically instruct end users not to choose the "Share anonymously" option, for example?

The problem is that not many people know where the governance documents reside
A governance document exists for the company which has guidance on how the intranet environment should be used and processes that need to be followed. Even among the people that know where it is, most don't make use of the document because it's too long and it's hard to find the exact policies you need to know when you need to know it. There needs to be a way to communicate governance information to people when they need it.
When users visit new web interfaces, it's easy for them to get confused especially if there is a lot going on in those interfaces. We want to be able to provide automatic context sensitive guidance about those interfaces to the users so they are not confused. This information needs to be provided in the user's own workspace so they don't have to navigate somewhere else to get that information.
Regardless of how brilliant your organization’s ideas, how innovative its technology, or how solid the business plan – regulatory compliance could potentially determine the eventual success or failure of your organization. This is a challenge that some organizations navigate more successfully than others.
For example your company compliance rules require you show a warning dialog to users every time they come to a specific document library. This dialog should tell them that they cannot upload any document that has credit card or social security numbers in it. How can you easily accomplish this and scale for the whole SharePoint site?
Whew... what a busy couple of weeks. The SharePoint NA conference on May 21-23 was packed with interesting sessions and opportunities to connect. I thought I'd share a few highlights over the next few days to help me process the things I want to remember and perhaps help someone else who didn't get to go. Today, I'm looking back at the keynote from Bill Baer, Jeff Teper, Seth Patton, and a cast of 1,000's on day 1.
The MS team identified and highlighted six trends that are defining the digital workplace, and I thought some of them were helpful in analyzing our own personal and organizational goals from a big-picture / strategic perspective. For now, I'll let you read everyone else's posts about the numerous announcements made there, and I'll focus on the strategic trends the MS team presented, as well as my own thought processes that wandered off from there...
SharePoint and Office 365 help content can be consumed in many different media formats as well as delivered in many different ways. We have found that when you see context sensitive help compared to the old school way of providing help, it is clear which way is more efficient and effective for the entire team.
I want the ability to show governance policies or new features to my users when they first visit a location.
